Pacific Rim Maritime Pty Ltd entered the marina industry in Australia in 1997 after the principal returned to Australia proceeding tenure of some 27 years in the northern hemi- sphere marine industry.

The identification of a market niche to support the millennium

celebrations and the Sydney Olympics were the initial tasks.

 

During the initial period of the Australian market development, other avenues of the industry were realised. Ultimately the “scope of supply” of PRM was decided upon. A customer base

was identified & developed, and subsequently projects for their discerning clients were completed.

Continued development within the industry established PRM as a progressive and innovative “project specialist” within the marine community.

PRM has developed a network of specialists to support the direct staff. This enables the company to be fiscally responsible to their shareholders and allows continued support of our services to our now well-established customer base.

The advancement of technology that can be applied to the marine industry is a primary task for the PRM team.
Latest technology and real time communications has proven a valuable asset. These provide subsequent benefits to our customers and asset-based developments to enable greater economic returns.

• Started Pacific Rim Maritime in 1997, Superyachting Challenge Events (2005) & PRM Asia 2012.

• Principal of Pacific Rim Maritime Asia; Yacht & Ship Brokerage, and Marine Consultancy 

• Current projects; Marine facilitation & community project, Marina design & development, Fuel & Drinking Water systems plus stand-alone Drinking Water units. 

• PRM Asia completed Consultancy for Pt Pelindo Properti Indonesia (2015 to 2017) & PT Bali Turtle Island Development (2012-2014)-resort & port developments; Boat Yard and Marina, investor development for PPI & BTID.

• Completed salvage projects in Sumbawa & Lembongan.

• PRM Australia - Marine consulting, Product Representation ( Protector Boats NZ), Venue management for 1999 New Year’s Eve celebrations ( Garden Island) & Sydney Olympics project; Cruise shipbroker - 4 vessels Olympic period, venue and marina management during Olympic period , plus Superyacht representation & support agencies, trans-ocean shipping and ultra-high net worth marine-related individual & corporate representation. 

• Crew member & yacht management/logistics of Trimaran Geronimo (2005) - set 5 world speed records circumnavigation the Pacific.

• Competed in major international yacht races as a professional racer/skipper; Sydney- Hobart (10); Americas Cup 1970 & 1974, SORC, Admirals Cups, Trans-Atlantic, World Series & One-Design racing. 

• US Sailing Judge adjudicated many regattas and was Race Chairman PRO in the US & Europe.

• Sales Manager of "Richard Bertram & Company (Florida) – world's largest brokerage (8 years)

• Business Development - Gold Star International, a cruise ship gaming operation (Florida & Texas)

• Principal - Stirling Marine; a San Diego based marina, yacht & ship brokerage, plus service

• Sales Manager – The Crow’s Nest Yacht & Ship Brokerage – San Diego California 

• Consultant;  Sentosa Marina Development in Singapore and other marine developments.

• Ownership leasing of marine assets as the supplier to major international movie productions.
